Work on a new kitchen serving the area is almost done.

The team at Guru’s Elevated Indian Dining has been teasing their new concept coming to 2901 Crooks Road in Troy. It will feature a full dining area, bar and lounge inside. An opening date has not yet been announced.

Guru’s has been under construction for the last year at the former Kerby’s Koney Island location. It is being introduced by Mayank Tyagi of MK Group, a real estate investment company based in Toronto. At the time What Now Detroit reached out, Tyagi was not available for comment.

“A new Indian dining experience is coming to Troy, Michigan! Discover Guru’s Elevated Indian Dining, where exceptional North Indian flavors meet a sophisticated atmosphere designed for memorable meals and great company,” says a recent Facebook post from the team.

The storefront is on the west side of the Crooks Road intersection, between Recipes Restaurant and a 7-Eleven. This is close to other concepts like Modern Greek and Salad Bar and Savvy Sliders at the intersection of W Big Beaver Road. Somerset Collection mall is only a few blocks west of the location.

A menu will be released closer to the opening date, but North Indian cuisine like biryani and tikka masala can be expected. Management has just started hiring team members. For updates on Guru’s Elevated Indian Dining and the official opening date, visit their Facebook page.
