A dining option with sliced up meats with spicy sauces is coming to the city very soon.
Kazoku is planned for the plaza in Brighton at 9912 E Grand River Avenue, in place of Happy Taco. The new restaurant will be operated by Israel Quintero, owner of La Finca Tacos in Howell. Quintero told What Now Detroit he is hoping to debut the concept in four-to-five weeks depending on construction.
When Quintero originally thought of the concept, he wanted to create a hibachi express spot for the community. He will be serving options like steak, teriyaki and sushi rolls. Yum yum is one of the main sauces that will be available.
La Finca Tacos opened in 2024 at 799 S Latson Road in Howell. While specializing in Mexican cuisine, he also started his own food truck, Quintero’s Asian Fusion Grill. He runs the truck in the Brighton area.
Quintero’s new restaurant is coming to the south side of E Grand River Avenue, right off of Route 23. Other dining options are in this plaza, like Wong Express House, Green Lantern Pizza and Grand Traverse Pie Company. This is just east of downtown Brighton.
No social media or website has been set up for Kazoku at the moment. Quintero will be updating the community as he gets closer to the opening.
