A nationwide thrifting chain will be serving the Clio community at a new location in the future.
Goodwill has officially closed their Clio location at 4082 W Vienna Road. This is not the end for the chain’s mid-Michigan presence, however, as their new location is planned close-by at 4112 W Vienna. An opening date hasn’t been announced, but the team is working to move into the new building.
“Thank you, Clio, for your support over the years. We can’t wait to welcome you to our new location!” Says a recent post from Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan on Facebook.
The national chain already has a new presence in the Great Lakes State, and is known for their many apparel options, toys and games, household goods and electronics. It is categorized as secondhand retail and a thrift store, and was founded in 1902 in Boston. Now, it has grown to over 150 independent stores nationwide.
Goodwill is coming to the north side of Vienna Road, next to a Chase Bank. This is across the plaza from their recently closed location. A Tractor Supply Co. store is also at this site, along with a Tim Hortons. The store is close to the entrance ramp of Interstate 75.
When What Now Detroit reached out to the Goodwill Mid-Michigan team, they were not available for comment. For more updates on the reopening, visit the location’s Facebook page.
