A Houston-based casual and family-friendly burger joint is preparing to close its doors. Underbelly Burger will close its Spring Branch location on Sunday, September 13.
Underbelly Burger to Close Spring Branch Location
The burger joint has built its reputation by serving high-quality ingredients, bold flavors, and a fun and creative menu. Founded in Houston, Underbelly Burger operated locations serving the Memorial and Spring Branch areas.
The joint was established by James Beard Award-winning chef Chris Shepherd. According to the CultureMap Houston report, the first location of Underbelly was opened at the Houston Farmers Market in 2022. The Spring Branch location was opened in 2023.
The restaurant team announced the closure in a social media post. Underbelly Burger, located at 1222 Witte Rd Ste A in Houston, will permanently close.
The restaurant team wrote that after careful consideration; the restaurant group has decided to close Underbelly Burger. The restaurant team confirmed, “Our final day of service will be Sunday, September 13.”
In the post, the burger joint thanked the community and customers for their support. “We are incredibly grateful to our guests, our team, and everyone who has supported Underbelly Burger and been part of its story over the years,” the team said.
