Jeff’s Bagel Run is continuing to expand its reach in the Greater Houston region. Now, the Florida-based brand is embarking on a fourth opening in the area. According to a recently filed permit, the new Jeff’s Bagel Run to come to the Greater Houston territory is expected to open in the Houston Heights at 2702 Yale Street.

The permit details that construction on the $400,000 project will be a quick one. Renovations are slated to start in July and wrap up in September. If all goes well with permitting and the 1,300 square-foot build-out, Jeff’s Bagel Run in the Heights should be open before winter.

Brian Hess, Jeff’s Bagel Run Houston franchisee, has been leading the charge in expanding the brand in the market. What Now Houston has spoken to Hess on multiple occasions about new openings coming to the region.

“The first one was opened in the West U neighborhood in January, and the second opened in September in Clear Lake, both this year,” Hess said in an interview about the brand’s third opening in the region.

While Hess already comes with opening experience for Jeff’s Bagel Run, the entrepreneur is also well-versed in the business realm and has close ties to those who run the bagel brand.

“I have experience as a business owner from the company uBreakiFix, and my friend was the CEO and founder and he’s the one who’s now CEO of Jeff’s Bagel Run, he thought I would do well at it and he brought me in to try the bagels and my wife and I loved them and thought they would be great to bring to Houston,” Hess said.

Hess was unable to share further details about the Houston Heights opening by the time of this publication.

Jeff and Danielle Perera founded the brand during the pandemic, personally delivering freshly baked “always boiled, never toasted” bagels in the community, according to the Jeff’s Bagel Run website. The following year, the Pereras opened their first Jeff’s Bagel Run brick-and-mortar location in Ocoee, Florida. There are now nearly 40 Jeff’s Bagel Run locations dishing out bagels throughout the country.

What Now Houston briefly spoke with Danielle about the upcoming opening. Perera confirmed the opening, but was unable to share further details by the time of this publication.

“The Perera family poured their hearts and souls into creating a warm, inviting space where customers could experience the joy of freshly baked bagels,” the Jeff’s Bagel Run website reads.

Offering a wide variety of bagels, spreads, coffee, treats, and drinks, the eatery has become widely known and beloved.

Serving up and dishing out common bagels from blueberry to everything bagels, as well as unique one-of-a-kind bagels like the rosemary salt, Jeff’s Bagel Run works hard to keep things fresh and new.

Jeff’s Bagel Run is anticipated to open in Houston Heights at 2702 Yale Street by this fall.
