Turquoise Wine Bar is set to debut in Texas this year with not one but two openings.  The Arizona-born boutique wine bar will debut in Cypress first. The owners recently revealed that a second location will open in the Greater Houston region.

Turquoise Wine Bar is also expected to open in The Woodlands at the Grogan’s Mill Village Center at 7 Switchbud Pl. Franchisee Rene Murphy told What Now Houston via email that the plan is to open in September or October of this year.

“For many, Grogan’s Mill is the heart of The Woodlands because it’s where everything started,” Murphy said.

“We want Turquoise Wine Bar The Woodlands to feel like everyone’s second living room. It’s a comfortable place where people gather to enjoy great wine along with each other’s company.”

The wine bar is expected to serve light food with live entertainment and offer wine tastings and education.

“A refined, yet comfortable atmosphere with small-batch wines and bites meant for pairing. A variety of special events, including Winemaker Dinners, Live Music, Pairing and Tasting events, as well as a passport series where guests learn and taste wines from around the world. We’ll also offer a wine club,” Murphy said.

“While we’re still perfecting our menu for The Woodlands, the fig with goat cheese flatbread, pickle dip, and chopped salad are just a few notable items.”

Friends Jen Sinconis and Laura Hernandez founded Turquoise Wine Bar in 2020, following their move to Arizona.

“After months of business planning and strategizing, our mission was set: We need an authentic wine experience available to people on the westside,” the Turquoise Wine Bar website reads.

“Boutique wines served in an approachable way, wine tasting, farm-to-table food, and unparalleled service.”

What Now Houston briefly spoke with Sinconis about the upcoming expansion.

“Turquoise Wine Bar was created with a clear purpose: to make wine more approachable, more engaging, and more connected to the people who enjoy it,” Sinconis said via email.

“What began as a single neighborhood concept has grown into a thriving brand built on the belief that the best wines are the ones we drink togetherTurquoise Wine Bar has quickly built a loyal following for its unique blend of hospitality, education, and community-driven experiences.”

Turquoise Wine Bar is expected to debut in the Greater Houston region in Cypress this summer.

“When it opens later this summer, Turquoise Wine Bar will offer more than just a place to grab a glass of wine—it will be a place to gather, learn, and connect,” Sinconis said.

Both locations are planned for grand openings.

“We’ll offer a sampling of wines and bites in a place where the community is meant to gather,” Murphy said.

To follow along on the journey, visit turquoisewinebar.com to connect with the Cypress and The Woodlands locations’ social media channels and stay up to date on grand opening events happening this summer.

“Because at Turquoise, it’s never just about the wine—it’s about the experience shared around it,” Sinconis said.

Turquoise Wine Bar is anticipated to open in The Woodlands, inside the Grogan’s Mill Village Center at 7 Switchbud Pl this fall.
