Little Ruby’s, an all-day cafe concept, is one of two tenants who were recently announced for the redevelopment of the Post Oak Central office campus just north of The Galleria. Central Park Post Oak, located at 1990 Post Oak Blvd, issued a lease for a 3,500 square foot eatery for Little Ruby’s, the third brand from Los Angeles-based Wish You Were Here Group, according to the Realty News Report.

While an exact opening date for Little Ruby’s at Central Park Post Oak has not been officially announced yet, the broader Central Park Post Oak retail and dining campus is rolling out openings beginning in late 2026/Fall 2026.

What Now Houston reached out to Wish You Were Here Group Managing Partner Jason Bartucci to learn more about the upcoming opening. Unfortunately, we did not hear back by the time of this publication.

“The Wish You Were Here Group is intrinsically tied to beach culture. Our own hospitality histories began in the Northern beaches of Sydney, and our branding and identity from the very first Ruby’s have aimed to bring this laidback Australian beachside ethos to the US hospitality scene,” the hospitality group’s website reads.

“Our menu items are named after iconic Sydney beaches, and our signature Bronte Burger (Bronte Beach) has consistently been included in iconic lists by Zagat and Thrillist of the best burgers in New York City. Everything we do, from service to design to the menu, is intended to replicate the carefree beachside living ethos we know so well.”

Little Ruby’s is an Australian-inspired all-day cafe concept founded in New York City in 2002 by Nick Mathers, Lincoln Pilcher, Tim Sykes, and Chef Thomas Lim. Originally dubbed Ruby’s Cafe, the founders wanted to bring laid-back Sydney coastal beach culture and high-quality flat whites/coffee programs to the U.S.

“Since 2002, Little Ruby’s has brought Australian cafe culture to New York City, offering casual, locally sourced cuisine, specialty drinks, and a full coffee program,” the Little Ruby’s website reads.

“Open for brekkie, lunch, and dinner 7 days a week, Ruby’s iconic menu features our signature bronte burger, taste-driven pasta, bowls and salads, and brunch classics like ricotta hotcakes.”

The brand expanded to multiple neighborhood locations across NYC, including Soho, East Village, Murray Hill, and the West Village. Little Ruby’s opened in out-of-state locations, including Santa Monica in California and Uptown Dallas in February 2026, under the Wish You Were Here Group.

There are now six Little Ruby’s Cafe locations, five in New York City and one in Texas serving Dallas and its visitors.

Little Ruby’s is anticipated to make its Houston debut in the Central Park Post Oak at 1990 Post Oak Blvd later this year.

(This is a developing story. As more information is made available, we will update this article. Stay tuned!)
