Pizzana is planning on bringing the Greater Houston region and its visitors another slice of their LA-based brand. Pizzana is embarking on opening its second Houston location, this time in the new Memorial City redevelopment that is set to open in Greenside.

According to the Houston Business Journal, the new Pizzana is expected to open at 1085 Gessner Road, where Houston-based MetroNational and Radom Capital are developing a shopping center that will include food, retail, and more.

Construction is already underway on the property, but there’s no timeline just yet on when the project will be completed.

Sprinkles Cupcakes co-founders Candace and Charles Nelson collaborated with actor Chris O’Donnell and chef partner Daniele Uditi, a native of Naples, Italy, in 2017 to open Pizzana. The group brought the brand to Houston in 2024, debuting at the River Oaks Shopping Center.

What Now Houston reached out to Nelson about the upcoming opening. Candace confirmed the opening and shared what sparked the opening of Houston’s second Pizzana.

“Our guests at our River Oaks location kept asking us to come to the Memorial City area, and when we learned about the Greenside development, the vision just clicked,” Nelson said via email.

“It’s a community-focused destination and a real draw for families. That’s exactly the kind of neighborhood Pizzana belongs in.”

Pizzana, specifically its Brentwood location, has consistently received the Michelin Bib Gourmand award, holding distinction for at least three consecutive years leading up to 2022and continuing into 2024 and 2025.

“Pizzana is chef Daniele Uditi’s love letter to Naples — reimagined,” Nelson said.

“The slow dough, the consciously sourced ingredients, the unexpected combinations. It’s about honoring the craft and tradition of pizza and bringing that to life in a way that feels modern and fresh.”

Pizzana serves a variety of pizzaspastassalads, and desserts.

You can try it all and more soon! Pizzana will be having a grand opening. To be invited to the festivities, be sure to join the Cacio Club.

“With our new Greenside location in the Memorial City area, we wanted to create a special space that feels open, inviting, and rooted in the joy of being together. From our open kitchen where you can watch us stretch pizzas, to the expansive patio that opens onto a beautiful lawn, guests can slow down and stay awhile with pizza and a cold spritz,” Nelson said.

“Anyone who joins our loyalty program, Cacio Club, gets a free pizza every month! It’s free to join, and you can enjoy the perks at our River Oaks location while you wait for this new restaurant to open.”

Pizzana is slated to open in the new Memorial City redevelopment that is set to open in Greenside at 1085 Gessner Road this year.
