South-Asian Grocery is a new store embarking on a $1.25 million grocery and restaurant build-out. According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation permit, South-Asian Grocery is expected to open in the Fry-Tuckerton Retail center at 953 Oakboro Lake Dr., Suite 108.

The permit details that construction on the new grocery store and restaurant is currently underway. The 1.25 million dollar project started back in December and is slated to be completed by September of this year. If all goes well on the 21,145 square-feet ground up build and permitting, South-Asian Grocery should be open by this fall.

At the helm of the opening is Veduka Retail LLCWhat Now Houston reached out to the retail group’s Koyya Sudarsana Naidu, who was also listed on the permit, but we did not hear back by the time of this publication.

Based on the sheer size of the new construction project, we can suspect that South-Asian Grocery will offer a variety of traditional items to complete any grocery list. The new store is also expected to have a restaurant inside.

Unfortunately, South-Asian Grocery does not yet have a website or social media pages. With little to no information available, it is hard to say what exactly the new eatery and grocery store will offer. But we’re sure more information on this exciting new addition to the community will come to light as we inch closer towards opening. So, keep your eyes open and your ears perked for the latest.

South-Asian Grocery is anticipated to open in the Fry-Tuckerton Retail center at 953 Oakboro Lake Dr., Suite 108, by this fall.
