Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming is bringing the neighborhood pet store and “dog’s happy place” to Montgomery. According to a recently filed permit, Woof Gang is expected to open at 19970 EVA STREET, SUITE 102B. The brand’s media team shared that the new Woof Gang will actually open in The Colonade on Lake Conroe shopping center at 19786 Hwy 105 W, Suite 120.
“The store is expected to open in October 2026, bringing premium pet grooming, nutrition, treats, and accessories to local pet parents and their four-legged family members,” the team shared with What Now Houston via email.
The permit further details that construction on the new Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming store is planned to start in August and is slated to wrap in October. If all goes with the estimated $298,500 construction project and permitting, the new Woof Gang in Montgomery will open by this fall.
“We are planning a grand opening celebration and look forward to welcoming local pet parents and their dogs to experience everything Woof Gang has to offer. Additional details will be announced closer to opening,” Chief Executive Officer, Ricardo Azevedo said in the email.
“We like to say we’re your dog’s happy place. Woof Gang combines professional grooming, premium pet products, and personalized service in a welcoming neighborhood setting. Every aspect of the experience is designed to help pets look, feel, and live their best.”
Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming was founded by Paul and Cara Allen in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, in 2007. Woof Gang has grown from a single neighborhood shop into the largest pet grooming brand in America. There are now more than 450 Woof Gang locations, either open or under development, across North America, including a presence in Canada. In the U.S., there are nearly 300 established locations, with the heaviest concentrations in Florida, Texas, and North Carolina. Texas has nearly 50 locations with almost a dozen in the Greater Houston region.
“Montgomery is a growing community with a strong culture of pet ownership and a clear appreciation for high-quality pet care. The opportunity to bring a premium grooming and pet retail experience to local families made it a natural fit for Woof Gang,” Azevedo said.
“We look for communities where pets are truly part of the family and where we can become a trusted neighborhood resource. Montgomery’s growth, strong sense of community, and pet-friendly lifestyle made it an ideal location for Woof Gang.”
At the helm of the Montgomery opening is Woof Gang franchisee Mark Roberts. What Now also briefly spoke with Roberts about the upcoming opening. Roberts confirmed the opening and that he is the franchisee for the new location, but was unable to share further details by the time of this publication.
“At Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming, our goal is simple: to be your dog’s happy place,” Woof Gang’s media representative, DiegoSuarez, said in an email.
“We’re a neighborhood pet store and grooming salon where pets are treated like family. From personalized grooming services to all-natural treats and premium pet products, we focus on creating memorable experiences that keep tails wagging and pet parents coming back. While Woof Gang has grown across North America, each location is locally owned and operated, allowing us to build genuine relationships with the pets and pet parents in the communities we serve.”
While grooming is a big part of what the brand does, Woof Gang also specializes in special treats for the special friends in our lives.
“Our professional grooming services are our signature offering, complemented by a wide selection of all-natural treats, dog birthday cakes, chews, premium pet foods, and boutique accessories. Customers especially love our bakery treats and personalized grooming experience,” Suarez said.
