Bellwether is coming back to Jacksonville as Pearl Hospitality Group gears up to re-open the restaurant which had been closed earlier this year.
According to the Jacksonville Business Journal, the new version of Bellwether will include a new menu and an enhanced daypart offering, which means more opportunities for guests to come by. The location for the restaurant is at 117 W. Forsyth Street.
The opening of Bellwether will be an attempt to recreate the community feeling that Bellwether once boasted of in its earlier days.
Bellwether first opened in 2017 and closed in March 2026. The restaurant was created by Jon Insetta, founder of Black Sheep Restaurant Group, who told the news outlet at the time of its closure that he was disappointed the restaurant’s financials had not reached a sustainable point.
Now, Pearl Hospitality Group is taking the restaurant into its next chapter while keeping the Bellwether name and bringing a fresh approach to its menu and service.
More details about the reopening and an opening date have not yet been announced.
