A new way to play is coming to Jacksonville as Conquer Padel makes its Northeast Florida debut.

The new facility will be located at 8313 Baycenter Road and is expected to become the area’s first dedicated indoor padel facility. The project is being developed by franchise owners Matthew Sands and Justin Flynn, who are also bringing Conquer Padel to other Florida markets.

The Jacksonville club will feature five indoor padel courts, with 30-foot ceilings designed to give players plenty of room to play. But the concept goes beyond the courts.

Plans call for a full fitness gym, recovery area with saunas and cryotherapy, a coffee and smoothie bar, full-service bar, member lounges, corporate meeting and event space, a pro shop and an elevated mezzanine where visitors can watch the action.

“Our vision is to create much more than a padel club. We are building a premier health, wellness, and social destination that brings people together through sport, fitness, recovery, and community,” Sands said.

Padel is a racket sport that combines elements of tennis and squash. It is generally played in doubles on an enclosed court, with the walls becoming part of the game. Conquer describes it as one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, and says the sport now has more than 19 million players globally.

For Jacksonville, the company sees an existing racket-sports community as a natural fit. “Jacksonville has a strong racket sports culture with thriving tennis and pickleball communities, which makes it an ideal market for padel,” Flynn said.

The club is expected to offer programming for different experience levels, including leagues, clinics, lessons and social events. The space will also be available for corporate gatherings and wellness-focused experiences.

For Sands and Flynn, Jacksonville is the first step in a larger Florida expansion. The franchise partners have also secured territories in Tampa and Orlando, with plans to continue growing the Conquer Padel brand across the state.

Conquer Padel currently lists Jacksonville as ‘coming soon’ on its website. Additional details on memberships, construction and the opening timeline are expected as the project moves forward.
