Recent permit filings point to a new development in the Fashion Show shopping mall: an incoming Capital One Café. The unique coffee chain has confounded many over the years and intrigued others. Now, Las Vegans will have to decide for themselves.

Capital One Cafés are known to blend banking with brewing; as customers sip coffee, they are also invited to chat with “ambassadors,” or quasi-bank-tellers. Others employed by the cafe include money coaches, who offer financial and life advice.

The style differs by location, but all of the cafes offer Peet’s Coffee and provide ATMs for guests to use at their convenience. In non-pandemic times, Capital One Cafés also host events like “appy hours” for developers and movie-viewings for the public.

The benefits for Capital One customers are more significant — the cafe offers 50 percent off Peet’s Coffee orders for cardholders only.

What Now Las Vegas reached out to Fashion Show for comment, but they have yet to make a statement on the new project.
