With international locations in six Asian countries including Japan, Indonesia, and Vietnam, Seoul-based Korean BBQ chain Sookdal Korean BBQ has begun building its presence in the United States. The brand launched its first U.S. location in Garden Grove, California, and its second will open in Las Vegas.
“We’re planning on opening next May,” a representative of the restaurant told What Now on Monday. “We’re excited to provide a great Korean barbecue service to the customer, and to provide the best quality meats.”
The Garden Grove location has built a reputation for its pork belly, the representative said. The menu in Las Vegas location will feature the same selection with some additional menu items, particularly along the lines of premium beef.
Recently submitted permitting paperwork shows Sookdal Korean BBQ opening at 2540 S Decatur Blvd Unit B, in the retail center on the southeastern corner of the intersection with West Sahara Avenue. That retail center is currently home to restaurants like Daeho Las Vegas, Einstein Bros. Bagels, and Starbucks.
