With eight locations in California and ninth on the way to the New York, Taco 1986 is a fast-growing Tijuana-style taco restaurant. Since its founding in 2018, it has already grown to comprise eight locations, and a ninth is currently in the works for New York City.
“Tacos 1986 distinguishes itself by making hand-made corn tortillas fresh to order, flame grilled Carne Asada (Grilled Steak) and Pollo Asado (Grilled Chicken), Adobada (Pork Al Pastor) cooked off the trompo, our famous Mushroom (Vegan) tacos, and always fresh onion, cilantro, guacamole & salsa,” says the Tacos 1986 website.
This week, What Now came across a trove of licensing documents submitted to the City of Las Vegas for six different restaurants: Ai Pazzi Pizza, For the Win, Nom Wah, Pearls Oyster Bar, Tacos 1986, and Wineaux—all of which to open in the Rampart Casino at the Resort at Summerlin.
What Now will reporting on several other of these concepts as details come to light.
After finding the paperwork, What Now reached out to Tacos 1986 own Victor Delgado. Delgado was not immediately available for comment on a Tacos 1986 opening planned for Las Vegas.
