Fiorelli Pizza, a new concept by chef Michael Fiorelli and Liz Gutierrez, is coming to Cook’s Garden in Venice this March. The wood fired pizza spot will serve a variety of specialty pizzas, salads, sandwiches and desserts.

Chef Fiorelli is known for his time at Olivetta in West Hollywood and Love & Salt in Manhattan Beach. Now, he’s trading in white tablecloths and full service for Cook’s laidback garden vibe.

“The new mobile wood oven concept brings wood fired cooking to the masses at an accessible and convenient alternative to a brick and mortar,” according to a concept brief provided by Fiorelli. “The restaurant industry has changed drastically over the last several years, giving way to an emerging dining trend that prioritizes simplicity, accessibility and mobility over white tablecloths, high prices and impossible-to-secure reservations. Fiorelli Pizza is a return to the basics, a reminder of what makes cooking for others so special, a celebration of community and camaraderie, and a departure from the expected.”

Fiorelli Pizza will operate in Cook’s Garden from Thursday-Sunday between noon to 9 p.m.
