A new quick-service restaurant is opening soon in Tarzana. Flavez Burger will open at 6120 Reseda Blvd (@whatsnewsfv spotted signage up here). Co-owner Randy Sage told What Now Los Angeles that they are aiming to be fully open by the end of May.
The team is also behind a Japanese restaurant in Glendale. At Flavez, they will focus on bold flavors, speed and quality. The 1,000-square-foot space has undergone a full renovation, and the starting menu will be simple, focusing on made-to-order burgers, to emphasize efficiency.
Each month, the team will do “flavor drops” that introduce new chef-driven menu items. They hope to provide high-quality, affordable options that stand out in the market.
“In the Los Angeles metropolitan area, there has been a smashburger craze,” Sage said. “Smashburgers are simple and fantastic. Our burger, more or less, is considered a smashburger, but we’re going to be doing a few unique things. We pay homage to the burgers that shaped American food culture — staying true to their classic flavors and arrangements — while adding our own chef-driven twists inspired by global flavors, with influences from parts of Asia and Europe, drawing from our experience across our other restaurants.”
Initially, Flavez will soft open with its burger menu, operating from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. They will be expanding to include breakfast service starting at 7 a.m., featuring menu items such as breakfast burritos and bowls.
