A Los Angeles wine shop and grocery store is expanding to a new community, but this location will have a twist. Wine and Eggs will unveil a new shop along with a wine bar at 6142 Washington Blvd in Culver City.
Owners Lesley Holmes and Jeremy Allen have filed an ABC permit for the spot, which is currently home to Bar & Garden.
Wine and Eggs first opened in 2021 in Atwater Village. Holmes and Allen took ownership of the brand in 2024 and have since expanded to a second location in Burbank, Olive Wine & Liquor, which is in the process of transforming into a Wine and Eggs. Holmes told What Now Los Angeles that she envisions expanding to a few more locations.
“Culver City I have been looking at for a while,” Holmes said. “I love that there’s a community behind where the space is that we will have an opportunity to serve and give a space to hang out and do some fun grocery shopping.”
Wine and Eggs offers fine wines, world-class spirits, and a curated selection of groceries and goods. In Culver City, retail offerings will depend on what the community expresses that they want to see stocked at the store.
The wine bar element, which will likely be called the Overeasy Wine Bar, will serve beverages, and Holmes plans to eventually offer a food menu as well. However, they will likely start with pre-packaged offerings such as charcuterie boards and popcorn.
Holmes expects to receive the keys to the space in July. The team is working on the design phase right now, collaborating with designer Adi Goodrich, who they have worked with before. Holmes hopes to have the space built out and transformed into a Wine and Eggs by the end of the year.
“We’re excited to service another community,” Holmes said. “I love Culver City. I think it’s a great area. I’m excited to see how we can help people.”
