Laidrey Coffee will open its fourth location next year in Thousand Oaks. The San Fernando Valley-based coffee shop will open in a 1,100-square-foot space at 2302 Thousand Oaks Blvd. Owner Gacia Tachejian told What Now Los Angeles that she is aiming for a November 2027 opening.

Tachejian opened the brand’s first brick-and-mortar in Tarzana in 2022, focusing on sourcing coffee from female-led and female-run farms. Laidrey Coffee later expanded to Encino and Agoura Hills.

After having a shop in Agoura Hills, opening a location in Thousand Oaks felt like the natural next step for Tachejian.

“We love Ventura County in general because it just really seems like people care about their community here,” Tachejian said. “They care about how they treat everything from sidewalks to businesses to the people. It just has felt so refreshing in the way it was so respectful, so hospitable and so genuine. It’s so special.”

The brand serves items such as coffees, baked treats and seasonal toasts. The Thousand Oaks location will reflect both the Laidrey Coffee brand as well as the Thousand Oaks area.

“We are very much a coffee shop that we want you to feel at home in,” Tachejian said. “The space will be an homage to Thousand Oaks in terms of how Thousand Oaks originally was built with a California ranch and beach vibe.”

Expect to see usual Laidrey Coffee touches such as bench and bar seating as well as a curated collection of local business products.

The expansion to Thousand Oaks is part of Tachejian’s intentional expansion strategy.

“We don’t tend to go into communities that are already saturated with a lot of specialty coffee because we love going into neighborhoods that want it and need it but don’t have it,” Tachejian said. “We love that experience of being able to offer something unique and special for people.”
