A new breakfast-lunch restaurant is on the way to Chino Hills. Rise and Shine will open at 2545 Chino Hills Parkway, Suite A, according to a recent ABC filing.

Kevin and Carleen Schoner are behind the forthcoming restaurant. Kevin is an honors graduate from Cal Poly Pomona’s Collins College of Hospitality Management and Carleen has a background as an operator in national foodservice.

Rise and Shine focuses on using clean, natural ingredients such as tallow, butter and avocado oil in made-from-scratch comfort dishes. They avoid seed oils, artificial colors and ultra-processed fillers.

“This isn’t fast casual or franchise food — it’s handcrafted comfort, made daily with tallow, avocado oil and organic cage-free eggs,” the website states.

Breakfast offerings will include hotcakes infused with flavors like banana pecan and citrus swirl as well as skillets and omelettes. Lunch items will include steaks, hand-breaded chicken tenders and sandwiches. The website also indicates that there will be a pet menu.

Currently, an opening timeline remains unclear. Renovations have been underway, according to recent social media updates. What Now Los Angeles has reached out to ownership for additional details.
