Amazon Fresh on Thursday, November 19, opened its North Hollywood grocery store to the public, a spokesperson in an email told What Now Los Angeles (WNLA). Amazon Fresh NoHo is situated on the ground level of the Lankershim + Otsego apartments, at 5101 Lankershim Blvd., as first reported by WNLA earlier this year. The 25,000-square-foot space was originally going to be home to Whole Foods Market which is also an Amazon company. The NoHo store is the fourth Amazon Fresh location to open its doors joining SoCal outposts in Woodland Hills, Porter Ranch and Irvine.
“Amazon Fresh offers a seamless grocery shopping experience, whether customers are shopping in-store or online,” the spokesperson said. “Customers will find consistently low prices on a wide assortment of national brands and high-quality produce, meat, and seafood, as well as a range of delicious prepared foods made fresh in-store every day.”
As part of the launch of the Amazon Fresh brand, the company has also debuted the Amazon Dash Cart, which enables customers to skip the checkout line, and new Alexa features to “help customers manage their shopping lists and better navigate our aisles.” Prime members also have access to free, same-day pickup from the store.
