The family-owned restaurant has additional locations in store.
Bray’s Hamburgers is expanding quickly in Metro Detroit as a new location is planned for 1187 Southbound Gratiot Avenue in Clinton Township. An additional company-owned burger spot is coming to 4365 Auburn Road in Shelby Township. Owner Agron Duhanaj told What Now Detroit the Clinton Township restaurant will open around August 1.
“Detroit’s original burger spot,” is the slogan the company goes by. Roy Bray first opened the restaurant in Westland, and has since been expanding throughout the metro area. Duhanaj also operates the Flat Rock and Port Huron locations, but not the current Westland spot. He is also seeking other expansion opportunities in the future.
While hamburgers and cheeseburgers are staple options, sandwiches like grilled cheese, egg sandwiches and chicken sandwiches are also available. It would not be a Detroit area location without selling a coney, and the menu offers a coney island or typical hot dog. Sides like fries and onion rings are also on the menu.
The Bray’s team will be flipping burgers on the northeast side of the intersection of Harrington Street. A Subway is across the street, and is just up the street from Pub 1281. This area is south of downtown Mount Clemens.
