Named the Best Food Truck in Memphis by Memphis Flyer, Taconganas is continuing its pursuit of taco supremacy, with work commencing on a new brick-and-mortar location. Founder Greg Diaz took to social media recently to announce that construction has officially begun on the restaurant’s new Bartlett location.

Diaz posted a quick Facebook video showing the lot cordoned off for Taconganas’s new home, with a sign announcing the concept’s impending arrival. Work crews are visibly working on the foundation for the storefront

The October 7th post states: “Today I started the construction of the New Taconganas in Bartlett TN. Let’s go with all the blessing of God. Please pray for me and send me your best wishes.”

While a definitive timeline is not presently available for Taconganas’s upcoming Bartlett location, locals can comfortably stoke their enthusiasm knowing that construction is underway, meaning the restaurant will be customer-ready in the not-too-distant future.

Taconganas has become a powerful presence in the greater Memphis area, thanks to its central founding thesis: “Taconganas means hunger. Hustle. Heart. And that’s exactly what we put into every taco — and into this city that’s helped us grow.”
