An exciting new contender is preparing to make a name for itself in the Memphis hospitality scene. The provocatively named Blue Noir is bringing community, fine dining, and great drinks to the area, certain to make it a local staple.

Blue Noir currently has a certificate of occupancy under review with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development for 3518 Riverdale Road. The submitted application offers a glimpse at what’s in store for future regulars, stating that the 7,918 square foot establishment will feature “a main seating lounge, a bar service counter, restrooms, and a back-of-house area. The space will be utilized as a social sports bar serving food and drinks, maintaining the existing approved fire safety systems, exits, and an engineered occupant load of 350-450 people.”

Owner Tanya French was kind enough to share a more detailed vision of Blue Noir’s goals with What Now Memphis, saying: “Blue Noir is being developed as a bar and grill with a comfortable, laid-back atmosphere where guests can relax, enjoy great food and drinks, and spend quality time with friends and family. We look forward to creating a welcoming environment that combines great hospitality with a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.”
