Cordova is gearing up for a tasty addition to its fast food scene. Bonchon, a Korean fried chicken franchise, is set to make its way to 1713 N Germantown Pkwy in the spring of 2024, revealed franchisee Loay Abdallah.

Abdallah told The Daily Memphian that his inspiration for bringing Bonchon to Memphis stems from a trip to Chicago, where he fell in love with Korean fried chicken’s unique flavors. Bonchon is renowned for its double-fried chicken, which results in a crispy exterior and a juicy inside.

But the Cordova location is just the beginning. According to The Daily Memphian, Abdallah has signed a five-location, five-year contract with Bonchon. After Cordova, Abdallah plans to expand to two more Memphis locations, with potential sites in Olive Branch, Southaven, Collierville, and Midtown.

Get ready to savor this unique fried chicken experience, and stay tuned for more details as the project unfolds.
