Nestled within the Shoppes of Hacks Cross at 3750 Hacks Cross Road, owner Jose “JJ” Miranda fortuitously stumbled upon this location and made a spur-of-the-moment decision to open a second restaurant.
Miranda, drawing from his extensive background in the Mexican restaurant scene, has a definite sense of purpose. Reflecting on his career in the industry, he candidly stated, “I didn’t want to be working for the man; I wanted to be the man.”
Thanks to the restaurant’s mouthwatering meals, captivating cocktails, and the invaluable support of his family, Miranda’s aspirations have blossomed into reality, with JJ’s Tropical gaining significant popularity among both online and in-person visitors.
As this new venture unfolds, patrons can look forward to the same delicious cuisine and lively atmosphere that JJ’s Tropical has consistently served at its original Cordova location. Classic favorites like the renowned build-your-own bowls and signature handcrafted cocktails, including the Te-Kill-Ya Margaritas, will continue to be available, alongside all-new appetizer additions.
