Jose Flores, owner of several Margaritas Mexican Grill and Bar establishments in the Greater Memphis Area, is about to unveil an innovative restaurant concept. These new additions promise to tantalize the taste buds with a unique fusion of Japanese and Mexican flavors.

The restaurant, Sake vs Tekila, will make its debut at two distinct locations. The first venture will be situated at 3855 Elvis Presley Boulevard, breathing life into the former Rock N Roll Cafe. The second restaurant will find its home at 1250 N Germantown Pkwy, where Cordova’s Bonefish Grill used to reside.

While construction has already been completed, the exact opening date is pending the acquisition of necessary licenses. However, the target is set for early November 2023.

Sake vs Tekila will serve up an alluring array of dishes, combining the art of teppanyaki, sushi, and hibachi with the beloved Mexican cuisine that characterizes Flores’ other dining establishments. Expect creative pairings such as sushi and tacos or enchiladas and hibachi, catering to diverse palates.

Additionally, Flores is committed to offering distinct sushi roles that are guaranteed to be “way different than Sakura and Osaka.”

Yet, the true heart of this dining experience lies in the libations: “If you really like to drink, what do you like best? Tekila or sake?” poses Flores. It’s this passion for authentic, exceptional alcohol that motivated the creation of Sake vs Tekila, and as the doors swing open, you’re invited to discover your own answer.
