A new dining establishment is making moves towards joining the ever vibrant Memphis culinary scene. A restaurant registered as Memphis Finest Phla8bors BBQ 2LLC has submitted papers to open in the not-too-distant future.
The restaurant is planning to open at 629 Chelsea Avenue, an address that has seen its share of eateries. The space has previously housed the Miss Girlee Soul Food Restaurant and the Best Kept Secret Restaurant.
According to the certificate of occupancy application submitted with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development, Memphis Finest Phla8bors BBQ 2 will be occupying a 1,000 square foot space with an occupant load of 55.
There are few details presently available about the restaurant, beyond the basic fact suggested by its registered name-that it will be serving up barbecue. The concept does not yet have a digital footprint. The certificate of occupancy remains under review as of October 14.
