A Cooper-Young retail space is getting (and giving) a glam glow-up under the leadership of an experienced beauty veteran. Nicole Conley has been taking care of nails since 2001, and now she is bringing Material Girl Nail Boutique to a Central Exchange shopping center storefront, reports Daily Memphian.
Memphis will soon be able to get a mani or pedi at 2153 Central Avenue. This new chapter will be a very different one for the 1,895 square foot storefront which previously housed Fox + Cat Vintage.
Material Girl does not yet have an official opening date, however great nails are just over the horizon. A certificate of occupancy was recently issued by the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development and the company’s social media posts are stoking considerable excitement, indicating the salon is nearing an opening.
Material Girl began actively recruiting nail technicians a few days ago and has been offering sneak peaks at the vibrant and welcoming space. Each post offers more enticing details; Material Girl describes itself, saying: “A luxury nail experience is coming to the neighborhood. Think elevated self-care, boutique vibes, curated services, and all the pretty details. Welcome to the girls’ new favorite hangout.”
Future customers who can’t wait to plan their visits have plenty to look forward to; “Our salon specializes in: Natural Nail Care • Gel Manicures • Gel-X • Builder Gel • Luxury Pedicures • Nail Art.”
Excited Cooper-Young residents can expect to check in at some point in June; follow along at Material Girl’s Facebook for updates.
