“Made with an Australian flare, born under the Tampa sun”—that’s Outback Steakhouse. The Tampa-born megachain has made its mark with more than 1,000 locations in 23 countries, and now it looks to be expanding its South Florida footprint. A recently submitted plan review shows a new Outback opening at 8841 Glades Road in Boca Raton.
“We are an Australian-inspired steakhouse restaurant beloved worldwide,” says the Outback website. “We pride ourselves on serving up variety; our unbeatable steak cuts are complemented by delicious choices of chicken, ribs, seafood, and pasta at a price for everyone. Our strategy? We’re the leader of the pack by emphasizing consistently high quality delicious food delivering a warm, welcoming environment. Our generous portions are moderately priced. Our casual atmosphere couldn’t be more transporting – it’s like you’re right there in the Australian Outback.”
Outback Steakhouse is part of the Bloomin’ Brands, Inc. family of concepts. You know them if you know restaurants like Carabba’s Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill, and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar.
The menu features a prodigious variety of choices, ranging from Signature Steaks like the Slow-Roasted Prime Rib and the 18-oz. Bone-In Ribeye, to Seafood choices like Toowoomba Salmon and Steamed Lobster Tails, to selections of burgers, sandwiches, and Entrée Salads.
What Now reached out to Bloomin’ Brands’ chief development officer Annette Rodriguez on Friday to inquire about plans for a new Boca Raton Outback. Rodriguez was not immediately available for comment.
