Baskin-Robbins – the world’s largest chain of specialty ice cream shops – hosted a grand opening of its new Murfreesboro Baskin-Robbins shop at 1741 S. Rutherford Blvd., Suite Q on Saturday, Aug. 15.
For Baskin-Robbins franchisees Nirav Patel, Ankit Patel and Binjan Patel, opening a new shop in Murfreesboro is about more than serving ice cream. Drawn to the city’s welcoming, family-centered atmosphere, southern hospitality and continued growth, the Patels saw an opportunity to create a neighborhood gathering place where families can celebrate birthdays, sports victories and life’s everyday moments together.
“Growing up, visiting Baskin-Robbins was always the ultimate reward and the backdrop for some of our favorite family memories,” said the Patels in a statement. “The iconic 31 flavors and the pink spoon represent joy for so many families, and we wanted the opportunity to pass that same happiness on to a new generation here in Murfreesboro. We aren’t just selling ice cream, we’re building a joyful gathering place where families can celebrate milestones, connect with neighbors and create memories together.”
Beyond creating memorable guest experiences, the Patels are passionate about using their business to serve and strengthen the Murfreesboro community. They plan to support local schools, sponsor youth sports leagues and partner with local charities through fundraising events, reflecting their commitment to giving back and ensuring the shop is a positive force in the neighborhood.
The new 1,300-square-foot Baskin-Robbins shop brings the brand’s signature ice cream experience to the Murfreesboro community in a fresh, modern and inviting setting. Designed with guests in mind, the shop features comfortable sofa-style and elevated seating areas, creating a welcoming space for families and friends to enjoy their favorite Baskin-Robbins treats. A custom mural celebrating Murfreesboro and its local landmarks adds a unique local touch, reflecting the character and spirit of the city.
From classic scoops and sundaes to cakes, shakes and other favorites, guests can enjoy the full Baskin-Robbins experience in a space designed to feel both fun and distinctly local. The shop will employ 10 team members and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Available for a limited time throughout August, Baskin-Robbins is serving up its OREO® Cookie Collection, featuring the all-new Brookie Batter flavor and the fan-favorite OREO®, giving guests even more reasons to savor the final weeks of summer.
