Brentwood’s beloved BBQ restaurant, Judge Bean’s BBQ, is preparing for its final goodbye. The Texas-themed pit-bbq restaurant plans to host a final farewell celebration before it shuts down permanently.
Judge Bean’s BBQ to Close in Brentwood After 16 Year
The local favorite BBQ restaurant is well-known for its low-and-slow wood-fired pit used to roast the meats. It features a fully stocked bar with chilled beer, margaritas, and an extensive selection of premium whiskeys and bourbons.
Family-owned and operated, Judge Bean’s BBQ is a cultural hub for the Brentwood and South Nashville neighborhoods. The restaurant also regularly hosts live music events and sports viewing gatherings.
After a landmark journey, Judge Bean’s owner, Nick Anneken, announced the restaurant’s closure on social media. The owner wrote, “It is with a heavy heart that we announce Judge Bean’s BBQ will be closing our doors for good on November 14.”
Nick thanked the community for their support over the years. Reflecting on its journey, he added, “We’ve watched your kids grow up, catered your families’ weddings and retirement parties, and been part of so many celebrations along the way.”
According to the official website, Nick joined Judge Bean’s BBQ in 2013 as an assistant manager and took over the business in 2022.

Final Farewell Celebrations
In the announcement, the restaurant said it plans to celebrate with customers throughout its final month of operation. A farewell party is scheduled for November 14, beginning at 5 p.m. and continuing until closing.
The restaurant, originally founded by Aubrey “Judge” Bean, has been part of the Nashville community for more than a decade. The restaurant began serving at Wedgewood Avenue, then moved to Gulch and finally found its home at 7022 Church St E, Brentwood, as per the Nashville Scene report.
The sudden closure announcement drew a lot of attention from its long-time customers on social media. “We are so sad, so many good memories, great food and wonderful service!” commented one customer.
The owner encouraged the community to visit and celebrate the final chapter of Judge Bean’s BBQ.
