Convenience store Wawa has a new 6,372-square-foot site in the works at 4000 Andrew Jackson Pkwy, a recently filed permit indicates. There are plans for a convenience store and 20 fuel pumps, according to the permit.
Wawa locations serve fresh coffee, baked goods, beverages and breakfast sandwiches and bites. They also offer lunch and dinner options such as built-to-order wraps, pizza, burgers, chicken sandwiches, quesadillas, sandwiches and burritos.
Wawa is based in Pennsylvania and has grown to more than 1,000 locations across the country, with a strong presence on the East Coast. While it has not opened a location in the Nashville market yet, it is expected to begin opening locations in the Greater Nashville area this year. Expected locations include a previously announced spot in Springfield and a potential location in Murfreesboro.
The Nashville Business Journal reports that locations are also heading to Nolensville Pike, Smyrna, Antioch, Bellevue, Lebanon, Dickson, Manchester and Clarksville, with potential for 40 locations in the market.
As of now, it is unclear when the Hermitage location will open, and the opening dates for the other locations remain unknown. What Now Nashville reached out to representatives with Wawa for further information but did not hear back prior to the time of publication.
