Hawkers Asian Street Food is set to join the restaurant lineup at Nashville International Airport, Concourse A, according to the Nashville Business Journal. The restaurant will be among the food and beverage concepts selected for the expanded concourse, which is scheduled to open in July 2028.
The $855 million project will replace the existing Concourse A with a larger 16-gate facility. The expansion will increase Nashville International Airport from 54 gates to 70 and is designed to accommodate as many as 40 million passengers annually, according to the Nashville Business Journal.
Hawkers will be joining the new concourse alongside other concepts selected by the airport authority. The Nashville Business Journal reported that the airport received 25 proposals that met the bid requirements before selecting the restaurant and retail operators. The Metro Nashville Airport Authority board is expected to vote on lease terms for the individual locations in September.
According to Hawkers’ website, the restaurant specializes in Asian street food, with a menu spanning dishes inspired by different parts of Asia. Its menu includes dim sum, baos, wings, rice and curry dishes, noodles, noodle soups and desserts. Popular offerings listed on the website include Roti Canai, Chicken Karaage, Pad Thai, Singapore Mei Fun, Yaki Udon, Curry Laksa and Korean Fried Chicken.
The brand currently has a Nashville location in East Nashville at 626A Main Street, according to its website. Hawkers describes the location as part of the neighborhood’s diverse culinary scene and lists its Nashville restaurant among its locations in Tennessee.
The upcoming airport restaurant will give Hawkers another Nashville presence while adding the brand’s Asian street food menu to the growing selection of dining options planned for the rebuilt Concourse A.
