In 2023, the Detroit-based Joe Vicari Restaurant Group brought Joe Muer Seafood to the Nashville scene, opening up at 500 11th Avenue N. The nearly century-old seafood restaurant also has locations in Detroit and Bloomfield, Mich.
Now, Joe Muer Seafood is set to undergo a rebrand in partnership with Kid Rock. Joe Muer Seafood will transition to The Detroit Cowboy, a concept that will merge Kid Rock’s musical legacy with the traditional fine-dining experience that Joe Muer Seafood is known for, according to reporting by the Nashville Business Journal.
Like the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group, Kid Rock finds his own roots in Detroit. He is also involved with Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N’ Roll Steakhouse, which opened in Nashville in 2018.
As of now, the opening timeline for the rebranded concept, and details about what might change regarding menu and design, remain unclear. Joe Vicari, the experienced restauranteur at the helm of the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group, told the Business Journal that more details are coming soon.
The Joe Vicari Restaurant Group has multiple concepts in its portfolio, including Italian restaurant Andiamo, Vito’s Italian Bakery and Birmingham Pub.
“For over 40 years, Detroit restaurateur Joe Vicari has opened restaurants based on three basic principles: Fresh authentic cuisine, impeccable service and a warm, inviting atmosphere,” the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group website states. “We invite you to explore this website and visit our different restaurant brands, from five-star dining to family-friendly restaurants.”
