Capital Region entrepreneur David Jett is planning to open a new location of his popular Café 94 Pizza -n- More restaurant in nearby Zachary at 4760 Old Scenic Hwy. this spring. The successful pizza cafe offers its namesake dish, along with po’ boys, seafood, gumbo, and classic appetizers. The new restaurant will be located in a former Jett’s Food Mart, a convenience store chain that Jett also owns. The Zachary location will have a contemporary look and focus on delivering exceptional customer service, according to a report from Louisiana First News. The original Café 94 location opened in nearby Clinton in September 2022. As for Jett’s food Mart, it currently has 13 locations across Louisiana. In addition to offering standard convenience store packaged foods, the stores also have a short takeout menu and hot bar that includes Cajun classics like boudin balls, fried catfish, fried turkey wings, and crawfish pies.
