Open for more than three decades and under new ownership since the pandemic, Daiquiris Supreme is an Acadiana daiquiri shop that is plotting an eastward expansion. The newest location is set to open this spring on Lee Drive in Baton Rouge, and franchise owner Blake Deaville recently told What Now New Orleans that it is in the ideal area.
“We just saw that little area exploding in Baton Rouge,” he said. “With all the student housing in the area, there’s a lot of hustle and bustle right there. We got a good little location and we like our neighbors. It’s all the same type of businesses across the board in our four-plex.”
Deaville said Daiquiris Supreme sets itself apart by making drinks that are made with real fruit, giving them a fruit smoothie-like quality. He said the new location in Baton Rouge will have a bar with 18 TVs and feel almost like an “adult ice cream shop.” Deaville added that the new location will eventually roll out a line of snowballs.
“We’ll take the Pepsi challenge with anybody on our daiquiris,” he said. “Every daiquiri shop owner thinks theirs are the best, but we got some secrets in our recipes that make us stand out.”
