Cheba Hut Toasted Subs, a fast-casual sandwich chain known for its cannabis-themed branding and toasted subs, is preparing to open a new location in Baton Rouge.
According to city permit records, the restaurant is planned for 14631 Village Market St. In an Instagram post, they gave a sneak peek at the work underway at the new location.
Founded in 1998 by Scott Jennings, the chain has grown into a national franchise centered on toasted sandwiches and a laid-back experience inspired by counterculture themes.
The menu features over 30 signature sub sandwiches, as well as a variety of Rice Krispies treats, salads, and munchies. Most locations also offer craft beer bars that feature local beers from neighborhood breweries.
Now what sets Cheba Hut apart is that they combine homegrown food with real people in a relaxed environment, “escape the established,” they say.
WhatNow Media Group contacted Cheba Hut for comment but had not heard back from them at the time of publication.
