Downtown Donaldsonville is set to welcome two new food and beverage concepts as investor Lindsay Lee moves forward with plans for a Korean barbecue restaurant, coffee and ramen bar.
Lee purchased two neighboring properties at 807 Railroad Ave last year and plans to transform them into Lemon Tree Coffee and Ramen Bar and Gangnam Korean BBQ.
Lee told WhatNow Media Group Donaldsonville is experiencing remarkable growth, particularly with the expanding local industrial sector.
“I saw a vibrant, historic community and a unique opportunity to invest in the downtown area by introducing new culinary experiences. Beyond the restaurants, my investment in properties on Railroad Avenue and Marchand Drive is also aimed at supporting this growing local industrial demand through a new rental car agency and a staffing company. It is a very exciting time to contribute to the city’s economic development,” she said.
Lee added she’s passionate about sharing authentic Korean cuisine and culture. “I wanted to bring something completely unique and high-quality to downtown Donaldsonville. To guarantee a truly genuine culinary experience, we have directly imported specialized machinery and commercial equipment straight from Korea,” she said.
Lee said customers can expect a vibrant, modern atmosphere at Lemon Tree Coffee and Ramen Bar, while Gangnam Korean BBQ will offer an immersive, traditional Korean barbecue experience.
Now the coffee and ramen bar is set to open at the end of July, with the Korean barbecue restaurant expected to follow in late August or early September.
