At the end of March, the popular Milan Lounge in Uptown served its last drink. However, the popular bar at 1312 Milan St. won’t remain dormant for long. John Michael Rowland, one of the owners behind the recently opened The Husky on Freret Street, has announced plans to reopen the bar with the same focus on affordability and approachability. According to NOLA.com, the bar will have an expanded list of whiskeys and possibly serve food. However, it will prioritize serving the neighborhood, as opposed to being a drinking and dining destination.

Last year, Rowland and his partners opened The Husky, a transformative restaurant inspired by Northern ski lodges. The restaurant has since earned rave reviews with many people calling it one of the city’s best new restaurants.
