Two entrepreneurs with one foot each in the hospitality world are set to open a sophisticated craft cocktail bar in downtown Baton Rouge called Second Story. Co-owners Tommy Talley and David Facey both have other business ventures and communications and tech respectively. Fancy also used to own a bar near the LSU campus called Dead Poet, which closed in 2023. Located in the former Boudreaux & Thibodeaux’s bar, Second Story is set to open in July.

According to a report in The Advocate, Facey and Tally envision their new second-floor bar at 214 Third St. as an intimate and modern craft cocktail bar. The bar has a balcony meant to evoke those in the French Quarter. The upstairs bar has a stairwell that provides direct access to 3rd Street below. Reportedly, Second Story is just one of many businesses Facey and Talley have planned for downtown Baton Rouge.
