One of the most iconic restaurants in New Orleans is set to get a new neighbor, as an upscale café is being planned for the building adjacent to The Court of Two Sisters. According to permit filings with the City of New Orleans, a restaurant called Patula is being planned for 619 Royal St., and it will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. After ordering from a counter, guests can take a seat indoors or in an outdoor courtyard. Staff members will then run food to guests’ tables.

According to permit filings, Patula will offer a breakfast menu until 11 a.m. that includes breakfast burritos and danishes. After 11 a.m., the restaurant will switch to another menu for the rest of the day that includes snacks, small plates and main entrees. The snack menu includes chicken liver pate and a house pickle plate. Small plates include charcuterie and gulf tuna crudo.  Main entrée options include a braised beef cheek and spicy roast quail. Beverage options will include a full espresso bar and a curated wine selection.
