Serving Lafayette for nearly 15 years, Root Floral Design is preparing to move into its forever home, and the owners are also building out an adjacent tenant space in the same building that they recently purchased. While it sells everyday arrangements and gift, Root Floral Design is known for specializing in weddings and other events.

When contacted by What Now New Orleans, co-owner Mia Sandberg indicated that she was busy transplanting the store from its current location on Jefferson Street in downtown Lafayette to its upcoming location just a couple of blocks down the road. She also pointed to a story from Developing Lafayette that said she had bought the building for the new location with her husband and co-owner Robert Sandberg.

The building will be divided into two tenant spaces, with Root Floral Design occupying a 2,600-square-foot space. The other 1,700-square-foot space has not been leased. The building is currently undergoing renovations, and the new Root Floral Design location is slated to open early next year.
