An Italian Riviera-Inspired Rooftop Restaurant Is Debuting Near Times Square

A new rooftop restaurant is set to open in Midtown Manhattan this month, bringing Mediterranean-inspired food and cocktails to 132 W. 47th Street.

Lola’s Rooftop is opening in Midtown Manhattan on October 14. The restaurant will occupy the rooftop of The Sanctuary Hotel’s existing dining portfolio in Midtown. The hotel, located near Times Square, Broadway, and Rockefeller Center, is also home to Sushi Lab Rooftop, The Chemistry Room, Omakaseed, and Sushi by Bou.

Lola’s Rooftop’s concept is inspired by the Italian Riviera and brings the flavors and atmosphere of Lola’s on the Water from South Florida to New York City. The menu will feature Mediterranean-inspired dishes and cocktails, with views of the Manhattan skyline.

The restaurant will be open Monday to Friday from 11:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. On Saturdays, it will open from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. On Sundays, it will open from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Menu and Design Highlights

Lola’s Rooftop will offer a menu focusing on fresh seafood and premium meats. It will offer classic dishes with Mediterranean influences. Dishes on the menu include tuna crudo with avocado, Korean short ribs with Faroe risotto, and snapper marechiara. Other menu items include a blackened or grilled mahi sandwich, grilled octopus with pepper sauce and chorizo vinaigrette, and snapper marechiara with red snapper and shrimp.

The restaurant will also offer a beverage menu featuring classic cocktails, spritzes, and signature drinks. The restaurant’s design features lemon accents, greenery, and yellow-and-white striped tents. The space will include open-air seating and a climate-controlled enclosed area for year-round dining.
