Restaurant concept At Cave is seeking to enter a space in East Village formerly home to TLC Tea House at 103 East Second Street, according to recently filed paperwork. Principal Qi Jiang is looking to bring an Asian fusion concept to the spot.
The space would take over the ground floor and basement space of the five-story mixed-use building at the location. Floor plans indicate that the space will have nine indoor tables that will seat a total of 17 customers and one bar that will seat four.
The proposed menu offers an appetizer list featuring items like basil pesto sauteed shrimp, slow-cooked beef tongue and seared scallops with creamy mashed potatoes. Main courses include garlic tomato beef rice bowls, salmon cream soup and seared beef short ribs with foie gras rice.
Paperwork indicates that the spot plans to be open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to midnight.
An opening timeline for the location remains unclear.
