After 20-Year-Run, Dallas BBQ Bids Farewell to Fordham Road
Dallas BBQ is a local favorite BBQ restaurant chain, and is well known for its burgers, wings, and buzzy cocktails such as Margaritas and Pina Coladas. The restaurant offers a casual and rustic atmosphere with bold BBQ flavors at an affordable price. Popular and recommended items include BBQ Chicken Sandwich, Brisket Sandwich, and BBQ wings.
The restaurant team shared an emotional note on Jan 2 and confirmed the closure on social media. “Sadly, we have closed the Fordham Road Dallas BBQ… this was our first location in The Bronx, and ran for over 20 years.”

In the post, the restaurant team cited post-Covid issues and the landlord’s redevelopment plans as the reason for closure. “Unfortunately, we could never resolve Covid issues there, and the landlord has other plans to redevelop the building site,” mentioned the team.
The team also added, “Thank you to everyone who ate here, celebrated here, worked here, and made this place what it was. The love was real, and we’ll never forget it.”
Dallas BBQ Continues to Thrive Across NYC
Dallas BBQ extended a warm invitation to the community to visit them in other locations. “Come by Co-Op City, Washington Heights, or any other Dallas BBQ location where we are open and thriving.”
The company confirmed that all affected employees were offered positions at other locations. The team behind the BBQ chain said, “All Fordham road employees have been offered an opportunity to work at other Dallas BBQ locations, so look out for friendly faces around NYC and NJ.”
While the Fordham Road location has closed, Dallas BBQ continues to serve customers at its other locations across New York City and New Jersey.
