An all-day Georgian cafe is coming to the East Village.
Kera will debut at 95 2nd Ave., between E. 5th and E. 6th streets, according to business filings.
“A place for good mornings, long lunches and late nights,” the cafe’s Instagram page reads.
The space will seat up to 38 guests indoors, with an additional 10 stools at the L-shaped bar and outdoor sidewalk cafe seating.
The menu will feature coffee, espresso and tea alongside Georgian-inspired breakfast and lunch fare. Offerings will include sandwiches, soups, salads, charcuterie boards and savory pastries filled with beans, potatoes and greens.
For dinner, Kera will serve panko-crusted macaroni croquettes stuffed with mozzarella and served with spicy vodka sauce and whipped burrata basil dip; sweet soy-glazed salmon over cucumber, peppers, avocado, carrots and edamame with a ginger chili dressing; and layered potatoes topped with truffle Parmesan, garlic butter and garlic sauce.
Wine and beer will round out the menu.
An official opening date has not yet been announced, but the team is “tasting, testing and getting everything ready.”
Once open, Kera will operate Sunday through Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to midnight and Thursday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 2 a.m.
