Novino Ristorante in Mahwah, New Jersey, announced on its official Instagram page that it will remain temporarily closed until further notice. The restaurant will remain closed as it undergoes repairs following a significant fire that caused extensive damage. The team is asking for support from the local community as they work to recover.

A fire broke out at Novino Ristorante in Mahwah on Thursday, October 2. The Italian restaurant announced through its Instagram page that a significant fire took place at the restaurant during the early hours of the morning.

The fire caused significant damage, forcing the restaurant at 64 Ramapo Valley Road to temporarily close. The restaurant will remain closed until all the repairs are completed. In an Instagram post, the Novino team thanked local police and firefighters for their swift response.

Fortunately, no staff or firefighters were injured in the incident, and everyone is safe. The post read, “Our sincerest gratitude to every firefighter, police, and emergency responder – Mahwah, Suffern, Ramsey, Tallman – thank you for your collective commitment, dedication, and quick response. Your service never goes unnoticed, and truly was on display during our darkest hours. We are incredibly grateful for your efforts”.
