Krave It is bringing sandwiches and pizza to the East Village, with plans to open at 141 Second Avenue this spring.
Husband-and-wife team Vishee and Jenna Mandahar launched the business in 2015 in Bayside, Queens. Since then, they have opened locations in Astoria and Huntington. This will be the first Manhattan location for the brand.
“Being New Yorkers, we have always dreamt of opening in New York City. Where else would you want to open?” Jenna told What Now New York. “So when we got our opportunity to do so, we had to jump on it.”
The location in East Village is part of a larger expansion for the brand. Jenna said they are venturing into franchising this year and have received attention across the country. They plan to bring the Krave It concept to markets across the U.S.
Because they are preparing to franchise, Jenna said customers can expect the traditional Krave It design and menu concept at the East Village location.
“We are franchising now, so we are sticking to the script and plan to have each location be the exact same,” Jenna said.
They are aiming for an early April opening in the East Village.
“We’re just excited,” Jenna said. “Ten years ago, I never thought we would be where we are, growing at the speed we’re growing. We’re really excited to show [Krave It] to a new community of New Yorkers.”
