A Thai-Vietnamese fusion restaurant is set to open in Midtown Manhattan.
Kham Koon, owned by Ekachai Jui, will debut at 456 9th Ave., according to an application filed with Manhattan Community Board 4.
“We are very excited to bring the fresh culinary experience to the neighborhood, featuring an authentic blend of Thai, Vietnamese and Laos cuisine,” Jui said at the community board meeting on Oct. 13.
Jui brings industry experience, operating the nearby Zoob Zib Thai Authentic Noodle Bar.
Kham Koon will feature 14 tables with seating for up to 36 guests, along with a service bar offering a curated selection of beer, wine and cocktails.
The team is currently working through the permitting and licensing process.
Once open, Kham Koon plans to operate from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with the last dinner service at 9:30 p.m.
